About the book:

On April 5th, 1948, Gold met Kennig…

Inspired by the true story of a WWII marine and the love of his life, Christopher M. Struck has crafted a tragic tale of love, devotion, sacrifice…and betrayal.

Daniel Kennig only has one ambition: to be the greatest singer to have ever lived. While headlining at a mid-tier nightclub in Manhattan he meets Cynthia Gold. Smitten with the flaxen-haired heiress, the young couple begin a rendezvous at the possible expense of his career.

About the author:

“Contemporary novelist, Christopher M. Struck (Chris Struck, C. M. Struck) made his debut with Kennig and Gold, released with BHC Press. Prior to living his childhood dream as a New York writer, Chris received 6 degrees, traveled to 19 countries, taught at 3 universities, and studied 2 foreign languages. Today, he can usually be found reviewing for Cabaret Scenes magazine at venues such as 54Below, Birdland, Green Room 42, and The Duplex. He used to regularly attend the Museum of Interesting Things and NYU’s Posthuman Philosophy summits. His early reviews of New York theater have helped inspire and inform his later work.
