About the instructor:

Ryo Yanagi is one of Japan’s foremost thought leaders on corporate governance and related matters of shareholder value creation. As Deputy Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investor Relations Officer of Eisai Co., Ltd., Yanagi-san has contributed to making Eisai one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies and one of the most respected Japanese corporations. Yanagi-san is a Visiting Professor at Tokyo’s Waseda University Graduate School of Accountancy and Waseda Business School and has authored several books, including: “Financial Strategies for Maximization of Corporate Value” (Doyu-kan, 2009), “Management Accounting for Corporate Value” (Chuo-Keizai, 2010), “Beyond Budgeting Model in Japan” (Doyu-kan, 2011), and “Finance, IR&SR strategies to improve Corporate Valuation” (Chuo-Keisai, 2013). In addition, Yanagi-san is an Advisor on disclosure and investor relations matters to the Tokyo Stock Exchange and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, as well as a Managing Director of the Institute of Management Accountants, Tokyo Chapter.
