Robert Scharar presented his in-depth investment thesis on why it makes sense to invest in Africa at Emerging Value Investing Summit 2013.

About the instructor:

Robert W. Scharar is President of FCA Corp, Houston, Texas, a fee only financial planning firm. The name was derived from its predecessor, First Commonwealth Associates, which he co-founded in 1975. In 1983, FCA Corp was established to provide personal and business financial planning services and investment management. Robert’s educational achievements include AA from Polk Community College, BSBA in Accounting from the University of Florida, MBA and JD from Northeastern University, and LLM in Taxation from Boston University Law School. Robert is a member of the Florida and Massachusetts State Bars and is a Certified Public Accountant (Florida). Before establishing FCA corp, Robert was an accounting professor at Bentley University and Nichols College. Robert enhanced his accounting and tax expertise by earning his LLM in taxation and by working at Coopers and Lybrand as well as being an officer of the United States Trust Company. Robert serves as an officer and director to many organizations.
